This is Rwanda’s newest national park, established in 2015 by combining Gishwati and Mukura forests. It’s smaller and less visited than the others but rich in biodiversity. It hosts chimpanzees, golden monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and a variety of birds and tree species. Conservation efforts are ongoing to restore its ecosystem after years of deforestation.
