The 8-Day Marangu Route is one of the most comfortable and well-paced ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the "Coca-Cola Route," it is the only route on the mountain that provides overnight accommodation in mountain huts instead of camping. This makes it an excellent choice for climbers seeking additional comfort while trekking to Africa's highest peak.
The extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut significantly improves your body's ability to adjust to the altitude, increasing the likelihood of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) successfully. The route passes through diverse ecological zones, including lush rainforest, heath and moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone, offering spectacular scenery and unique wildlife along the way.
This itinerary is suitable for beginners with good physical fitness as well as experienced hikers who prefer a gradual ascent and comfortable hut accommodation.
